Sunny, dry, 19C, is the forecast.

and some favourite words to share.

I rate this as one of the Shinrin Yoku place of Ireland?
A perfect place for Forest Bathing - Boladh na Síoga.

Vacation Retreats?

During 2015 Tree, Water and Fae lore will feature strong in Vacation Retreats, showing how this lore relates to the changing seasons landscape around us and how personal longings can be fulfilled.

Lots of visualization, creative writing and journaling, good local food, local crafted beverages, and merriment

Again there is some intro info of this on my Woodland Bard Pages

Finally

I am sure you will enjoy this recent Blog Post.

I visited Old Head, Co. Mayo twice during the past week.

Last Sunday for Bards In The Woods
and last Wednesday Claire treated me to a picnic adventure
for a birthday treat ... and the weather was superb !!!

We also went on a local Holy Well Hunt around there,
but that's for another blog.

For one or two future retreats I would like to recommend 3 nights around here.

I had postponed coming to Old Head, Co. Mayo, as a Bards In The Woods destination for a couple of years. With an outstanding warm and sunny weather forecast for September I decided this was the place to go at last.

So this time I visited twice in a week. Through the second visit tide was almost fully out, and this is what it was like. Even the lifeboat was grounded

and if you climb into the woodland the scenes are like this

and then comes the stile,

a kind of exit onto the wild shore

and then it was picnic time

After here we went on a cliff walk, local Holy Well hunt and beautiful sunsets.
A later blog will reveal those

but for now click to read the full blog and pics of this adventure

Thank you again for wading through this lot.

More news to reveal next week

Claire and I truly appreciate your continued support
We look forward to meeting up with you when we can
