Walking our Living Tree Labyrinth

I have a large Tree Labyrinth here at Carrowcrory that visitors enjoy using.

This is an aerial photograph taken a few months after I planted about 300 small bare root tree plants.

If an aerial photo was taken today the shape would not be seen as the trees are now well grown, most well over 3 metres high plus a live willow entrance and central cairn is developing well.

Our labyrinth is open to the public most Saturdays from 2 pm until 5 pm between April and end of September when I introduce the labyrinth and suggest how you may use it.

To Get Here ...

Here's a Google Map to help you get here from the N4 Dublin to Sligo Road by Ballinafad. Look out for the ruined Ballinafad Castle. We are 5 km from Ballinafad, 5 to 10 minutes.

Singer harper Claire Roche also offers and Afternoon at Carrowcrory for groups from Monday to Friday which can be combined with a morning visit to local ancient and mythological sites like Carrowkeel Cairns and Céis Coarran Caves, then lunch at the local Fox's Den Pub.

For just a Living Tree Labyrinth walk visit there is no fee though donations for upkeep or a bit of weeding is always welcome :-)

There are various fun and relaxing activities we can share with you here

Do you wish to visit here, especially if you on vacation and passing by?

Also if you wish to bring a group, small or large, families of course too.

Our Living Tree Labyrinth has over 300 trees, and is about 400 metres to walk.

Here is a construction video clip
but the trees have grown a lot more since this
